Licensing is required for all consumer contracts for work on Long Island. The following is a growing list of requirements that contractors must comply with in order to make contracts for renewable energy systems.
Nassau County
In general, Nassau County requires that a contractors license be held. A home improvement contractor can make a contract for any work and subcontract the license holder. In Nassau County, an electrical license must be obtained for almost every township and village!
