Letters jointly from the two county planning commissions and LIPA (attached) are on the way to the Supervisors and Mayors of the 100+ jurisdictions in Nassau and Suffolk explaining the proposed uniform process and the LIPA incentive for the towns and the first 10 villages in each county who adopt the process before the end of this year.
This is an important step to reduce delays and costs in solar permitting for consumers while ensuring quality installations. Please read the attached draft document and announcement letters.
This was a great success, with old and new LISEIA members attending, members of the NYSEIA board and representatives from LIPA, RELI, USGBC-LI, Habitat for Humanity & other organizations.
